[ hm. interesting. ]

Seems like she's gonna make a full recovery.

You're starting to sound like a broken record, but I actually believe you this time.

I'm not losing any sleep. You just have a tendency to come back from these missions worse for wear.

[ she does not worry for herself. at all. mostly she just gets annoyed when her clothes get damaged beyond repair. worrying for other people remains to be seen, she is still in denial. ]

We do. There aren't that many real medics. Basic first aid only goes so far. [ and andy can only jump in front of so many bullets! ] Maybe the people that don't want to fight can work on that instead.

There was fighting on Braccia too, against people who didn't destroy an entire town and the people in it.

But the Bouldersnakes is where the line gets drawn? They would have killed us without hesitation. Same shit, different kind of gangs.

Doesn't change the fact that we all know what the Bouldersnakes did to that town, saw the proof they were willing to do it again, and some still decided killing them in a fight they brought to us was too far.

Not everyone is made for that kind of fight, but you're right. It doesn't mean it isn't necessary. Pretending we can all get out of this without bloodshed in a situation like Scorpion's Bend is naïve. In an ideal world, you can fight things like the Bouldersnakes without killing, but ideal worlds don't exist.

They're just gonna move on to the next town and do it all over again.

[ sometimes! preaching to the choir can be a good reminder that you are not alone in a feeling! andy knows that sense of moral superiority can be irritating, even when she also knows it isn't going to change her mind, or make her feel guilty. they'd have to go back time centuries for that. ]

I can't imagine they were successful with you.

There's not a lot that can stop me. They can argue with me as much as they want, but I'll still pull the trigger if I need to. I've been doing the jobs no one else can longer than most of them have been alive combined.
